I was able to make it down to Edmonton to surprise Rachel and Kevin on their wedding day. The hectic few days leading up to it were punctuated by the sudden and unwelcome appearance of CHICKEN POX in Julia, random mysterious NON CHICKEN POX RASH on Elena and general malaise in Jacob, none of which boded well for wedding festivities. I was crushed at the idea of missing the wedding and by the Grace of my awesome family and nanny, managed to finangle a plane ticket, a ride to the church and then took the midnight Greyhound back home to Fort Mac. It was hectic, beautiful and something I will never regret attending.
